Project Background
On June 23, 2020, Silicon Ranch and PCL Construction Services began construction on the Odom Solar Farm, a 20-megawatt (MWac) solar project in Colquitt County, Georgia. In December 2020, the solar farm became operational and is part of a portfolio of Silicon Ranch projects that supply power to Walton EMC as part of the utility’s agreement to supply 100 percent renewable energy for Facebook’s data center in Newton County, Georgia.
